sleep disorder. There are behavorial effects of sleep
deprivation which can cause your body and mind to function
improperly. Sleep deprivation have caused many car
accidents. Once you have displayed any signs of sleep
deprivation, it is a good idea to not drive. Sleep deprivation
affects the brain and the temporal lobe and can cause
hallucinations. Sleep deprivation also cause adverse effects on
health and performance.
If you lack sleep or if you are sleep
deprived, it will show in your daily performance and how you
feel. Sleep deprivation is caused by a general lack of enough
sleep or the amount of sleep your body and mind need.
Effects of sleep deprivation on health
Sleep deprivation and health are the
opposite. Sleep deprivation has been known to cause illnesses.
Sleep deprivation makes the body weak overall, making it easier
to contract diseases and illnesses. A sleep deprivation study
shows that sleep deprivation affects the body's ability to
metabolize glucose, a health condition that leads to
diabetes.
Not only sleep deprivation affects the
body's immune system, sleep deprivation affects the mind and
brain of the person lacking sleep. You can test it on yourself
that when you are sleepy or when you have gone without sleep
for longer than comfortable, you don't learn well. Your brain
slows down and your efficiency drops. Sleep deprivation have
been observed to affect the regions of the brain called
prefrontal cortex or PFC.
